Berlin Wood is back !

Some of you might have seen or even skatet the new Berlin Woods during Rendevous 6 last month and many were wondering, when to expect them to be released officialy.
Well, waiting is over. The new BW will hit the streets this saturday may 16th ...

The brandnew BW-edition is the beginning of the BerlinWood-reload, we all have been waiting for. Together with Elias Assmuth BW-mastermind Timo Lieben has initialized the next step in

wooden fingerboards, by creating canadian maple boards with an evolved  new performance concave.
MORE POP, MORE STYLE AND MORE CONTROL describes what the new boards are all about.
110% run by fingerboarders, no compromise will be made.
Quality counts.
The first model, the Elias Assmuth signature deck, is clean and stylish.

I know, this is not the only board-brand in the world, but i am happy they are back after all the good things they did for fingerboarding all these years.

Welcome back...

I love the new BW shapes. They perform great, and look so good too. I hope to pick a few up in the near future :D

@Victor

I don't think you will see BW producing the old shape, because the old molds were taken by their former carpenter. I liked the Old Berlinwoods, but I think the new shape is better ^^.

i dont know what to say about this new shape, its so similar to other shapes that are around.
and the fact they release only one deck is quite poor, it makes me think they are either trying to explore the market as much as they can or they actualy dont have that much criative power on their hands.
i do have to give the benefit of doubt and try it out one day.

To all BerlinWood Fans:

There is an incredible run on BerlinWoods in our Webshop. Therefore our server is very slow and every once in a while it breaks down.

Don´t worry about getting a BerlinWood, we will always have them in stock now.

Delivery problems are the past!

If you don´t come through try to reload the site until it works. Or try it later or tomorrow.

Sorry, but we can´t change the situation and didn´t knew that there were SO MANY people hungry for BerlinWoods.

hey D-nice, am intitled of my opinion and to remain anonymous.
respect that.

You dont need to freak out that much, its just ONE dissident opinion.

What everybody as to love it?
respect diversity of opinions.

what another diferent opinion?
i think the moto "110% made of fingerboarding" is a bit deceiving ´cause sincerelly they should remain with the averadge price of most deck companies out there, if they really care about fingerboarders that is.

i remenber when fingerboarding was a comunity where you could speak your mind, and today d-nice, after all the campaign Brr made, people are afraid to be honest because today you cant "not like Brr".

i dont believe thats good.
and inside yourself i believe you can understand what am saying.

like, i was haggin out with a couple of friends in school the other day and one of our friends had nollie wheels on is deck, YOU HAVE NO IDEA how the kid was dished!

you are probably much older than me, but probably u can see how this is not good at all.

surelly u can say that our friends are stupid people, but, this is just a small example on how opinion is not free anymore.

i feel this not only here in the US but also at all worldwide forums that i regularly attend.

and when i mentioned "consumption" was related to this. Nowadays only some companies are "the thing" and the other ones are shit. Total adoration of some, blind denial of others.

i really believe fingerboarding is getting a bit away from what it was originally, am only 18 and i really believe it.
just a bit sad to see am probably the only one.

I understand what you are trying to say, but I think BRR and BW know exactly what fingerboarding should be about. They have been in the fingerboarding business hosting events, sponsoring events, and building the scene as long as Tech Deck has been around.

I understand that you think there is too much emphasis placed on matrial goods, and I do think that people do get too carried away with getting fingerboard products. But if people are going to get carried away getting fingerboard products, I definitely think BRR and BW are the best companies to get stuff from ^_^ The money they make goes directly back into the fingerboarding scene.

lets hope so.

Let's hope so? Without BRR and BW, fingerboarding products wouldn't be as nearly as high quality. Furthermore, they pioneered fingerboarding by hosting the first major fingerboard event, Fast Fingers. I'm not trying to be mean or anything, but BRR has done so much for fingerboarding, probably the most of any company. We're lucky to have such high quality products out now. Back when I started fingerboarding, all we had were techdecks, or fingerboards made out of cd cases haha

lol...we are proud of offering high quality products, we are proud to push fingerboarding and we are proud so many kids love this sport so much they want professional equipment. Anonymous, relax dude, it is still only fingerboarding. These are some of the best boards ever, so let the kids be a little hyped on the decks. These boards are NOT the average board. As i wrote in the review, i stated that BW ist not the only boardbrand in the world..We know, there are other good brands out there and we respect everyone who really is part of fingerboarding. We have lots of friends out there who produce own wheels and boards. If someone gets hazzled for having a certain set-up its stupid, but what does it have to do with these new decks?? Nothing. We don´t care what setup the kids are riding, as long as they have fun fingerboarding.
I myself am so happy with these new boards. they perfectly fit my needs and i have learned more tricks the last few weeks than the last two years before.
Noone forces you to buy one of these boards.
But there is nothing wrong with the kids who would like to try the new boards. The decks are worth the money, everyone i know who tried the board has been more than satisfied.
If you are strictly against consumption, there are no boards, no wheels, no ramps and nothing left, at least not at these high quality standards. People get good stuff for their money, and they spend their sparetime having fun fingerboarding..there is nothing wrong with that.
When they get totally psyched on the products it can of cause be a little scary, but hey, they are kids, they should be allowed to be kids... We are talking wooden fingerboards and no fancy sportscars or apartments in Dubai.
Come to the fast fingers event and see the kids have fun trading products from all different brands.
free opinions are good and beeing able to take criticism should be a part of it.
It all comes down to see, whats the intention with your first posting. Honestly you assume that we are proud of craziness and consumption in your statement. This is really offensive and thats why D-nice told you what we actually are proud of.
And guess what, she was right, everything is consumption. Spending your money on something that makes you happy and where you really get something good for your money is not bad.

We hope, the kids choosing the Elias Asamuth Deck will be satisfied. Everyone choosing to buy an other board or brand is free to do so. fingerboarding is what you do of it. adoration or denial is not our business. We focus on the things we do. right now there is a lot of work to do for the fast fingers event. This is happy fingerboarding.

^^Be honest, you dont really expect a company to spend months and loads of money producing high quality equipment and not wanting people to buy the products?

If i got your intentions wrong feel free to send me an email thomas@blackriver-ramps.com
I care about opinions, as long as i can see the intention isnt of bad nature.

Everyone else, have fun with whatever board or wheelbrand you are riding. Its all about having a good time.

Fingerboarding is not drifting away from anything which it wasn´t before.

Fingerboarding wouldn´t be the same without Blackriver and companies like WinklerWheels, BerlinWood and some others, because we and them were the first companies which cared about fingerboarding, which supplied professional products, which inspired people... And we will keep this work up in the future, because behind those companies are real characters and real fingerboarders, who push fingerboarding forward every day.
Every real fingerboarder who knows them will agree.

(Sorry for this long explanation, but it seems that you haven´t heard about those facts)

Offering service to people always means having expenses. Those expenses must be covered. New production machines and high-quality products cost money, but I don´t have to tell you, because as it seems you already have a very economical view on fingerboarding.

Btw fingerboarding is not about companies and products, it is about the soul and pushing fingerboarding forward.

At this age you should focus more on those values.
For example defending your friends when they are verbally offended. The local fingerboard community you are talking about doesn´t seem to be very friendly. Where are you from exactly?

Btw what campaigns are you talking about? Of course we are advertising the new BerlinWood "Elias Assmuth" Board, because it´s a good product manufactured by professionals.

I don´t want to explain all the basics on this comment page. If you have any questions or want to have a further discussion with me, you can contact me either by email (info@...) or via our website contact form.

Btw I welcome your opinion and opinions in general, I just don´t understand it...

You have the right to tell me your opinion and I have the right to question it, haven´t I?

Alrighty ;-)

As you were interested here are some facts about my person:

I´m 26 years old and me and my friends fingerboard and skateboard, too. They love different fingerboard and skateboard companies and they all have different styles, ages, genders and religions. You see my hood is very open to everybody.

I finished school years ago and after that I finished my studies.
Since a lot of years fingerboarding is my passion and my daily challenge. A lot of people love our work, and that is what is all about in the end.

PS: You shouldn´t name names directly while hiding your own (of course it´s you right, but it´s bad manners.)

Are you kidding me? Take this off your page. Revolutionized fingerboarding with this new concave? It is a yellowood with berlinwood on the name. My god i was at Rendezvouz and saw the things they are exactly like a knock off of the yellowoods except they suck because they are made of lower quality maple. Serious don't waste your time/money guys.

@ anonymous:
lol, is hating and talking shit make you feel any better?

BerlinWood and Yellowood are different in shape and concave.
How can the oldest brand be a ripoff of other brands anyway??
While you are spreading negativ energy, both BW and YW represented at the fast fingers 12.

And guess what? These were not the only two brands at the event. People showed up at the contest, traded fb-stuff and everyone was free to check out the different products and choose whatever they like.
The new BW is a high quality product.
It is ok, if you like something else better, but you are making a fool out of yourself by stating they suck, because the boards definetly dont suck.
Feel free to confront me with your silly hater-comments at one of the next events, because i would like to see, who is hiding behind this.
well, i know anyway or at least i have a feeling who some of you might be. :-D
However, your intentions are obviously of bad nature.
The worst part about this is not, that you talk bullshit about high quality products, the worst thing is that you assult the intelligence of the kids out there fingerboarding.
