Building a Community!

How can we make the fingerboarding scene bigger?

It starts with you. Instead of waiting around for someone else to organize a get together or contest why not take the initiative to get something started? I challenge every single one of you to make something happen.

Look what happened with the Rendezvous.. This year over a 150 people came to it. This would not be possible without Mike Schneider, and his family, who decided to get an event organized! Also, take a look at Josh Toy and his West Coast Rendezvous, and don’t forget Justin Rodriguez and Todd Cuzzort who organized the Huck Jam!

Now I am not advocating each and every one of you to host an event. Save up some money to get a ride to the nearest fingerboarding event to you. I can tell you from experience that it will be worth it. Going to the Rendezvous opened my eyes on fingerboarding. Incase no one noticed, the past two months I haven’t really been involved with the fingerboarding scene, mainly because of a lack of interest. The Rendezvous was the spark I needed to resume my interest in fingerboarding.

I am envious of the opportunity that everyone who fingerboards at this time has. There weren’t any contests when I started to fingerboard, and there definitely was no Rendezvous back then.

Let’s do our best and build upon the fingerboarding scene! Let us share our passion with each other, and with those who have yet to be exposed to it. Yet another sappy inspirational article written by yours truly with <3

If anyone in the South wants to have a gathering. I have a place to shred at! I live in Austin, Texas and have a big ass house for everyone to sleep next to your favorite obstacle. Send me an email if anyone wants to join and help push the scene in the South!

I have a house on the water so we can jump in the river and a boat we can take out. I have a trampoline and great grill for some good cookin!

Hit me up people!
